In 2022, IAG Global team advisors developed a toolkit and training package on disability-inclusive humanitarian action to guide UNICEF staff and their partners on how to reach and include children and adults with disabilities living in humanitarian contexts.

Our advisors also worked with UNICEF to develop and test a comprehensive training package on disability inclusion for frontline workers. The package aims to help them connect with the experiences of children and young people with disabilities, learn about disability rights and deliver more inclusive services.

In 2024, we are continuing to support UNICEF to roll out this training package globally, and to capture feedback from facilitators and participants on how it can be used most effectively across UNICEF programmes.

“I’d like to sincerely congratulate everyone who worked on this training package, which I think is of excellent quality. I’ve enjoyed watching, listening to and reading everything and learned an enormous amount. I’m convinced that all these modules are excellent resources to support our teams in being more inclusive.”
