Caritas Australia

Project | March 19, 2025

IAG is excited to be working with Caritas Australia in their commitment to strengthen disability equity and rights with their staff and partners.

Following some initial workshops with the Caritas Australia staff, we are working together at a regional level with Caritas Australia partners to:

  1. Increase awareness and understanding of disability, equity and rights.
  2. Enhance skills and confidence to integrate disability across the program cycle.
  3. Facilitate peer learning and exchange on disability across Caritas, the Disability Movement, and CBM Global staff and partners.
  4. Provide tailored technical support to address challenges in realising disability inclusion.

Starting in Asia, we’ve supported 15 partner organisations working on a range of rights, climate action, education and integrated development programs. We’ve worked alongside some local disability movement colleagues to provide online workshops in various countries. It has been great extending our in-country partnerships with Caritas Australia partners like Catholic Relief Services and Jesuit Relief Services.
