Partnering with Abilis to advance disability inclusion

Project | March 19, 2025

CBM Global’s Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) is proud to work with Abilis on several national and global advisory projects to promote greater equity and participation for persons with disabilities.

We partner with Abilis to enhance the capacity of development and humanitarian actors on disability inclusion. Through tailored training sessions and consultations, we practically support organisations in disability awareness, cooperation with organisations of persons with disabilities, and strategies for disability inclusion. We also provide guidance on integrating disability inclusion throughout the project cycle and offer specialist advice on areas such inclusive voucher and cash assistance programs. We also collaborate on evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction tools, ensuring they are practical, impactful, and inclusive of diverse needs.

We are also grateful to Abilis for their guidance in the steering group of our ACE project, where we worked with key organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) to build capacity in providing tailored rights-based inclusion advice to effectively influence mainstream development stakeholders.
