This brief, which captures some of the outcomes from CBM Global’s early response to the Covid-19 crisis in 2020-2021, is a contribution to the practical implementation of the InterAgency Standing Committee (IASC) Guidelines on inclusion of persons with disabilities in humanitarian action.
It is framed around two of the Guidelines’ ‘Must do’ actions:
- Participation, and
- Empowerment and Capacity building
We hope that this brief can stimulate further action and sharing of experiences to enrich the understanding of approaches to support localised, disability inclusive humanitarian responses.
