NORFIL Foundation, Inc., together with CBM Global, has worked for 23 years to support children and young people with disabilities in eight provinces across the Philippines, guided by the principles of Community-Based Inclusive Development.
CBM Global’s support has gone far beyond funding. Through technical guidance and long-term partnership, it has helped strengthen our programmes and deepen our commitment to inclusion.
Together, we have supported parents of children and young people with disabilities to become confident advocates, strengthened Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), nurtured youth leaders, and helped communities become more inclusive while reinforcing local systems.
Through these efforts, inclusion is not only discussed, but increasingly experienced in homes, schools and communities.
The true value of this partnership is seen in the lives of children who can now learn, play and dream in more inclusive communities across the Philippines.
This has never been only a partnership between institutions. It has been a shared journey of learning, reflection and growth.
